Insurance companies said yesterday
that damage from Hurricane Katrina could top $9 billion,
making it one of the costliest storms on record. While
the extent of the damages will not be known for days,

Negotiations over the Iraqi constitution
have ended and the charter will put up for referendum
on October 15. As it was feared, a federal state is
being envisaged. Everyone knows that if this is ratified
at the referendum, it will not last long, and within
a relatively short period of time, the "Federative Kurdish

Crude oil rose for a second day in
New York on concern Hurricane Katrina damaged platforms

the biggest U.S. oil import terminal, and shutting 92
